There’s a battle looming high above the streets in our normally peaceful city. Daredevil is back for a new season and things are getting violent. Netflix and chill? More like Netflix and fight!
To build anticipation and celebrate the upcoming second season of the acclaimed show, Netflix took over the North side of our AOB tower with a series of “fighting billboards” featuring Daredevil, Elektra and The Punisher, the three main characters from the show engaging in battle over the course of the 4 week campaign leading up to the premiere.
The public is encouraged to “Join the Fight” and engage on social media using the hashtags #Daredevil, #Punisher, and #Elektra. Every 48 hours the character with the highest hashtag mentions online gets to bring the pain to his or her billboard mates and the unlucky recipients are given cuts, bruises, bullet holes and even stabbings – oh my! The interactive element and the 3D add-ons transform this piece into a dynamic piece of work, rewarding careful observers and daily traffic in the area as the fight progresses. Collaboration between creative agency DDB Vancouver, Canada, media agency MEC Global and Clear Channel Canada has made this board anything but static!
